45 Degrees South

Bio

45°S. was born from the bond between a father and his daughter. Our founder didn't set out to build an apparel company. He set out to be a better father. Somewhere between early mornings at the range, school pick-ups, and a career that demanded everything, he noticed something small and stubborn: nothing in his closet worked for all of it. Gear built for performance looked like gear. Clothing built to look sharp couldn't move. His daughter, Ella, was the reason he cared. He wanted her to see a man who showed up — composed, present, and unbothered — whether he was closing a deal, standing on the first tee, or sitting on the floor of her bedroom reading one more chapter. He wanted the way he carried himself to teach her something about strength: that it doesn't need attention, it needs intention. So he started cutting and sewing samples. He learned fabric the hard way — hand, drape, recovery, how a knit behaves after forty washes. He fixed the collar that never held its shape. He tuned the shoulder so it read tailored instead of technical. He put the crest in tonal thread so the shirt whispered instead of shouted. Years later, that obsession is the flagship: The Meridian. The name came from the water. Inspired by the seahorse — the only species in the animal kingdom where the male carries and protects the young — the mark became our symbol of balance, devotion, and quiet strength. Our coordinates, 52°L and 45°S., aren't random. They mark real places in the ocean where seahorses live. And they mark the heart of the brand: grounded in care, guided by purpose, made for those charting their own course. Today 45°S. is worn at private clubs, resorts, academies, and tournaments — on people who look like they belong on a magazine cover and on dads who just want to feel like themselves. We build every garment to that standard, then we open the whole thing up: your logo on our blocks, or our collection on your racks. Stay Balanced. Stay Bold.
