Bio
I’m a mixed-media artist inspired by color, texture, music, culture, and the experiences that shape us. My work blends acrylic, layered textures, pattern, and unexpected imagery, moving freely between abstract, figurative, and pop-inspired styles. I draw inspiration from my Puerto Rican heritage, my lifelong love of music, and the world around me. I create intuitively—following an idea wherever it leads rather than confining myself to a single style. My work is bold, playful, emotional, and unapologetically personal. Every piece has a story—and a soundtrack. I name my work after songs, musicians, pop-culture moments, and the things that shaped me as a Gen X kid. Sometimes the connection is obvious; sometimes it's a little Easter egg waiting to be discovered. I love the idea that a painting can make someone stop and think, “Wait… I know that reference.” Art 1111 Studio is a reflection of that same spirit. 1111 is my lucky number—a number I’ve always felt connected to and drawn to. It became the name of my studio and a reminder to trust my instincts, follow the creative spark, and keep moving forward. For me, art is about connection. I want to create something that makes you stop, feel something, smile, remember, or simply see the world a little differently. That’s what Art 1111 Studio is about: making art that feels like something. And “Every piece has a story—and a soundtrack.”
