Bio
I have been an artist, and a photographer, for many years. As a young man I visited the Botanical Gardens, at the University of Michigan, many times at sunrise to capture first light as it illuminates the grounds and flora. This experience taught me the magic of lighting, color, and composition. What I learned from the study of light and color, I used in my art studies, and in developing my painting skills. Recently, my painting style has slowly migrated toward a mix of realism and an abstract model. I believe that a blending of both styles better captures a visual moment on how many people view a scene or a subject. My paintings tend to reflect this experience. I often use a color or hue on a subject that in its natural state does not exist. This creates a condition that often causes the viewer to refocus on the overall piece of art. So, I hope that you enjoy my art and include a piece of my art in your life.
